Design Intent
Most of the time, to spring upand develop to maturity has been used to describe the youth. However, as longas people live, life is developing and processing to somewhere and never ends.This couple keep their passion and interests on a new lease on life. Theyboth care about the well-being and hope to have a home library to keep learningon that. The wife is an excellent cook and spends a great deal of time in thekitchen. The husband is a yoga practitioner and spends hours on practice daily.Their positive lifestyle shows they are continuing and developing on what theylove. Therefore, my concept is GROWTH.
From the growth concept, thiscondo can be accomplished by creating an open space with a multifunctionalpurpose which allows each area to grow and extend. The application of lightcolors will bring a soft mood to start the day, and a cool grey will balancethe visual effects which will not take any attention away. Using a mix offurniture that contains antiques from early Canadian and new contemporaryperiods, the pieces will represent the past and present. As a home, this condowill be a positive and healthy space for the residents to keep growing and makeguests feel welcome and cheerful.
